Free STL Shapes — also known as the 3D Shape Viewer & STL Exporter — is a free, browser-based tool for exploring and creating 3D geometry. It is built with modern web technology so it runs instantly in your browser — there is nothing to install, and no account is required.
All processing happens locally in your browser. Your models are generated and exported on your own device, and nothing you create is uploaded to a server.
The Site, Free STL Shapes (freestlshapes.com), is created and maintained by Orbitalapp.app. It is an independent project focused on making 3D modeling and STL export simple and accessible to everyone.
Our mission is to provide a fast, friendly, and genuinely useful 3D tool for makers, students, hobbyists, educators, and designers — lowering the barrier to creating print-ready 3D geometry without expensive software or a steep learning curve.
Our 3D printing guides are written and edited by Amir, who leads content at Free STL Shapes. Amir is a long-time 3D-printing hobbyist who has spent years designing parametric models and tuning slicer settings on both desktop FDM and resin machines.
